The blue dial Speedtimer is inspired by Seiko and Japan's first chronograph wristwatch, the Crown Chronograph from 1964. It was designed from the ground up and marked the beginning of Seiko's chronograph wristwatch manufacturing. The new Speedtimer incorporates a new movement from Seiko's most advanced 8R chronograph series, Caliber 8R46. The dial design is a subtle nod to the 1964 Crown Chronograph. Its beveled hour markers, tapered colored Lumibrite hour and minute hands, chronograph pushers and outer dial ring markers echo the design of the original. This model is exclusive to Seiko Watch Salon outlets and comes with a crocodile leather strap.
